For proper page scaling when printing Adobe PDF files from within your Web browser, do NOT use the Web browser print facility. Instead, use the print button at the left end of the special Adobe Reader tool bar, which appears directly above the viewing window.

- Safari Adobe Plug-in
-
On an Intel-based Mac, if the Adobe Reader tool bar is not present then PDF files are being viewed in Safari using the Mac OS X native PDF viewing engine. Adobe Reader 7 only shows PDFs in Safari under Rosetta. However, when you upgrade Adobe Reader from 7 to 8, PDF files no longer show in the Safari window. Instead a large Adobe Reader icon displays in the middle of the Safari window. Adobe Reader 8 will not show PDF files in Safari run under Rosetta. To work around these issues, you have to either turn on/off Rosetta for Safari, or turn off Display PDF In Browser; in which case PDF files will be viewed in Safari using the Mac OS X native PDF viewing engine.
